WALL OF SHAME!!!

For this routine, we wont be paying for messing up, and we wont really be competing either. So if you f*uck up, you'll hear about it on the WALL OF SHAME!!! Feel free (not too free) to rat out, tease, and publicly rag on your friends who you catch sneaking in a midnight Twinkie or skipping workouts. Have fun with it. Though we are all in this fight together, we should have fun with the hardships instead of getting too down on ourselves (I understand that the public slandering can lead to ppl being down on themselves, but use common sense with your comments lol).

Same boat as Rob today was the worst cheat meal that ive taken ever i think. Definitly have to portion cheat meals still. Such a tard and tomorrow is Jamie's bday dinner at Outback definitly gotta watch it there to. FRIGGG!!!!!

OK SO I HAVE A DINNER WITH MY PARENTS ON SATURDAY BUT I WILL TRY NOT TO CHEAT MEANING I HAVE NO CHEAT MEALS THIS WEEK, BUT I AM JUST POSTING A PRE-EMPTED WALL OF SHAME POST FOR NEXT SUNDAY APRIL 8. DURING THE DAY I HAVE MARY'S UNCLE'S BDAY AT A BUFFET, THEN I HAVE MY MOM'S BDAY PARTY WHERE SHE IS ORDERING PIZZA AND WINGS. IM HOPING THAT THERE ARE HEALTHY OPTIONS THIS SATURDAY SO I CAN AVOID TAKING A CHEAT THIS WEEK. SUNDAY WILL ENOUGH FOR THE 2 WEEKS I THINK.

HOWEVER, I WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO PRACTICE PORTION CONTROL, AS MARY WILL BE WATCHING OVER ME LOL.

Missed the gym yesterday Knocked out early after my dinner cheat meal of sushi at Hon Ten haha. even though it was a cheat i didn't eat till i couldn't move. But still missed my workout which is bad.

friggin missed the gym today b/c of 1. easter/mary's uncle's bday lunch, 2. not knowing the hours of the valleys, 3. no friggin car, 4. killer headache.

this means that i have to go everyday for the rest of the week which isnt so bad but i like the saturday off. and i think im supposed to do 5 days a week but for some reason im extra motivated after this weekend to get in shape.

not really something for teh wall of shame but still upset that i didnt get to workout today

this weekend was BFL weekend and not the good kinga BFL hahaha the Basil For Life weekend. Saturday had one meal which was at robs haha Sunday had one meal at mine cause of family party *shaking head. Worst eating weekend ever haha.

BOO to the holidays (But thumbs up for the days we get off from work!!!)

(1) Rob's Family Party
Err... went a little overboard...
Alfredo Pasta, garlic bread (several), deep fried calamari, spring rolls (many), ice cream waffle, triple chocolate cake and mango mousse cake :S

(2) Easter buffet at Imperail
uhhh.. its a buffet. That means lots of un-necessary food and dessert in a short amount of time. Uncomfortably full :S

BOO TO THIS WEEKEND.

No more cheating for awhile. Cherish bday coming up at Moxies and I'm getting the Salmon I don't care how much it costs! Next cheat: Rob's cousins wedding Apr 21st and possibly my sisters bday dinner, we'll see where we are going...

CHEAT MEALS ARE OVERATED

So this weekend (as per my above entry) I noticed a lot of cheating going around. But it was the holdays - so its acceptable.

Was it just me or did anyone else feel so GROSS after cheating. I mean, I love food, esp yummy not good for you food. And its great IN THE MOMENT. But then the moment passes. And you feel FULL. Uncomfortably full. And you feel GROSS and GUILTY! I had to eat bad this week for the sake of Family parties for Easter (mine and Rob's) but I felt like crap afterwards. It was like the paranoia was getting to me.

On Sat, after Rob's party (we ate lunch around 3ish. I started feeling so gross and bloated from all the eating. I actually started CRAVING a healty sandwich and made Rob take me to Timmys on the way home around 9ish to buy a Turkey Bacon Club on Whole Wheat. And eating that felt SO GOOD. It honestly felt good to have some healthy nutrious food in my body after my cheat meal 5 hours earlier.

And now its Monday, and I'm SO EXCITED to be back on track. I worked out, I'm eating well, I feel good. So cheat meals are overrated.

Any thoughts?

You know what...I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOu. Cheat meals are like drugs (not that i do drugs) or an addiction. At the spur of the moment
it's so damn good but you realize afterwards that it totally wasnt worth it and you feel like a piece of shat. I do feel really guilty
for eating bad and I immediately feel the urge to workout after. I think the reason I feel guilty is because of all the work I put into eating healthy
and when I cheat I feel I have turned by back on all my hard work.

-Family Parties-
the problem with family parties is that you feel inclined to eat beacuse you don't want to disrespect the hosts beacuse they cooked
so much for the guests. this Easter I oddly didnt have any family parties so I stayed clear from the cheat (except for those damn good noodles on
sun)...but if there were parties this weekened of eating would have been horrible for me.

damn food why are you so good and yet so bad.

this weekend wasnt as bad as i thought it would be saturday just had a cheeseburger at shoeless, then ate a bbq pizza at wolfgang pucksm and i managed to miss a couple of meals and the gym on friday

i agree with you as well mary. i love food as much as anyone else, (and prolly more if u ask any of my friends lol) but it totally isnt worth it when you consider all the hard work we've put into this. however, in the moment this insight isnt present as we gorge on whatever we see lol. cheating meals are necessary to our goals but in small increments. i think for hte next couple of parties we attend i wanna really try and eat healthy meals or at least healthy portions of not so healthy food. i told mary that i wanna really buckle down after week 4 for me and push to get to my goals. im on week 3 now and ive seen great changes thus far. if i can really buckle down with diet and stay dillegent, im sure i can get where i wanna get. this the closest ive ever been to being "in shape", so i dont wanna let it all slip away as a result of a moment of indulgence. ive spent years indulging and that's why im working so hard to lose fat. lets just cut it out.

*new goal... shit.... 1 cheat meal and 2 low carb days every 2 weeks.*

i was gonna start this after week 4 but realistically, every day, every workout, every meal brings me closer or farther away from my goal. i cant afford to put it on hold. ive been doing this consistently for 6 months, and i think its time i REALLY challenge myself. LET'S DO THIS!

i doubt anyone wants to take this up with me, but its worth asking i suppose... anyone down for a biweekly cheat meal?

DO NOT HAVE ANY MEALS THAT ARE CARB BASED AND DO NOT HAVE ANY PROTEIN.

CARBS (ESPECIALLY FAST DIGESTING CARBS) RAISE INSULIN LEVELS WHICH ALLOW FOR A QUICK INCREASE IN ENERGY (FOLLOWED BY A QUICK CRASH), AS WELL AS INCREASES THE ABILITY TO STORE FAT.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO MASS UP, THIS MEANS THAT THE QUICK ABSORPTION WILL NOT ALLOW ENOUGH CALORIES TO GET U THROUGH TILL UR NEXT MEAL BEFORE YOUR BODY STARTS EATING UR EXISTING MUSCLE MASS UP FOR ENERGY. THAT'S THE DOWNFALL OF HAVING A FAST METABOLISM.

SO KEEP THIS IN MIND EVERYONE!

no just fruit based meals, no just cereal based meals, no just yogurt based meals, no just rice based meals. we're ALL guilty of this at one point or another, but with a bit of conscious effort, we can add a bit of protein in there and help our own cause.

i dont wanna be lecturing all of us, but its a small and easy step that will bring us closer to our goals.

woohoo 2 shames in a row FACK. This week has been balls for me and going to the gym. Missed Monday tuesday cause ive been either too tired or stuck at friggin work. Yesterday missed it cause i was tired and didn't get into the gym till 1015pm and didn't want to start anything cause i had to leave as soon as everyone left cause i had to meet up for mels bday at the hatter. On top of all this laziness i haven't been keeping up with my meal and training logs cause i can't really do them now at work cause i kinda got in trouble. ya so back tonight to pump it up...PUMP IT, I GOT TO PUMP IT UP...etc. etc. BO!!! good song :P

It's Saturday morning, and seriously now. RUNNING OUTSIDE IS AWESOME! (Well not that awesome when you totally don't have an ipod) But it's still great. Anyway, Bas is a freaking tard, he took me out last night to eat and a movie. WE ended up at good old swiss chalet. God my normal chicken and rice with steamed veggies. And Bas got his usual. But he kept asking me if I wanted dessert, candies etc. (Especially at the movies) He's trying to break me. But I didn't give in. Although I wanted something to munch on for the movies cause I was soooo sleepy!

Anyway, this comment isn't about that.

Earl, you seriously have worked hard already from before. And trust me, I can see the difference from the time you weren't working out til right about now. And trust me, you have changed and you have lost weight. You are looking good! Don't give up now, you've worked so hard already up to this point, so why bother slacking. If you are super angry with work, take that anger out at the gym. I know you're tired, everyone is tired from work and all, but remember, it's only 30 minutes or more of your day! WE are all here for you. But remember, this entire beach body thing is for yourself. And by you looking good up to this point, do you really want to just give up?

Cause I can really see the difference you know, so come on!!!
take all that anger out at the gym. Trust me, you'll feel waaay better! Keep your head up ok?

no 'let's hope it get's better'... lol. make it better eric!!! lol haha. this is about the make or break time for all of our competitions that we've had so far. about a month in is where ppl are gonna either quit, or keep fighting.

if u find that you are slipping a bit, try ur hardest to be as strict as possible this week. tell urself that this week will be the week that dictates if u will achieve ur goals in the next 2 months or not. imagine during ever workout this week that if u were to do well, then u would have ur beachbody.

if u take every meal u eat, and every workout that you do, during every day, as the one meal/workout/day that will dictate whether u will reach your goals, then you will push yourself. if u can magically have ur goal body after this workout if you push yourself, would you try ur hardest? well if you think that every single workout that you have and every single day that pass, eventually all those hard earned workouts and clean meals will pay off. stay strict and take each meal and workout as they come, and as if it was meal/workout that defines you during this program.

OK Confession Time

Had to go to a wedding. This is my first cheat since Easter weekend - so not bad.

I didn't cheat all day Sat until the wedding dinner. I even talked Rob out of getting McDonald's with Emil for lunch by playing the guilt trip on him *pats self on back. We had sandwiches at Timmy's instead. So the wedding dinner itseld wasn't too bad (Corrt soup, grilled chicken, pototoes, veggies). And the portions weren't over the top either. But damn that BREAD BASKET. Even though I had the whole wheat roll, I also had the garlic pita with hummus, plus a few more white rolls with butter. *tear - but then again I knew it was a cheat meal but I felt quite mad at myself for eating so much bread.

Also had a piece of wedding cake and dessert (fake cheesecake).
At least Rob and I took 3 carb/fat blockers each. Therefore I didn't feel too bad about eating the bread basket and cake if it meant I was gonna pooh it out hahahahah. Sorry people.

No more cheats coming up (ie. no holidays, bdays, or weddings), so I am going to eat as clean as possible.

And congrats to everyone who have made it one month! Cheers to looser work pants!

thanks for the kick in the ass mara. I'm not giving up thats for sure. This past week has just been a bad week in general. Not for eating but for training definitly. I usually fill out this thing during the day at work but i got a little slap on the hand for not doing stuff by their deadlines so ive been staying away from anything that doesn't involve work. I still made it into the gym 3 times last week. But back on track this week. Keep up the good work with you and Bas you guys are doing amazing. thanks for lookin out.

My co-worker made her version of Timmy's Caramel Chocolate Pecan cookies. There is a huge plate on her desk and she's right beside me.
There are those caramel chewy candy pieces in them. The last time she made them in Jan, they were SO DAMN GOOD. So good in fact that I ate so many I almost got sick.

So i'm sitting here at my desk eating my protein pudding and AllBran trying to distract myself. No this is not a cheat entry, i'm not going to eat any cookies. I'm just letting you all know that I REALLY WANT TO EAT ONE!

What the heck.

I ate my roll from swiss chalet.
I think I was too distracted on how I acted towards the waitress. So I didn't end up asking for the mutli-grain roll. And I wasn't going to eat it, but I was so hungry. So yaaaaaa. I cheated and ate the roll.

And Bas was just looking at me with his evil eyes, saying "NOOO!" But I was freaking hungry!
Boooooo.


It's ok, I think I've been doing pretty well so far.

I would personally like to call out my Boyfriend Rob for lying in one of his entries.

On Sat (at Shauns BBQ) Rob did not post that he ate a bunch of fruit.
I know he ate fruit cause he made me go over to the table to bring him some in a plastic cup. AND I fed it to him!

So ROB LIED on his post.
Haha I'm so mean.

And just to let you all know, Me and Mara like to snack on Wherthers Origial Sugar Free candies. (15 cal for 2 candies, 5g carbs but all sugar alcohols). I limit myself to 2 candies a day or sometimes I don't even have any. On Friday, while waiting to go to the club, I had FOUR.

i would like to call myself out for not posting this week. ive been crazy busy with work and with not having a key to my bro's unit and thus no internet access. when i did have access i was planning the cruise and the atlantic city trip so booo!!! ok back to work!

on a high note... i weighed in at 216 lbs this morning w/o using a low carb day which means that after my low carb days next week, i guarantee that i will be under 215 lbs! wooohooo!!!

Bday Buffet Celebration!
Though I must say, I didn't eat as much as I usually do.

Tried to avoid the fried food and stuck more with the noodles and meats (not the greatest still I know!). And I limited myself to one dessert plate and a scoop of ice cream. It was restraint I tell you. But quite an enjoyable one. My first cheat meal since Easter... when I went to Imperial as well (and ate waaay more).

1.) Not being able to post my meals & workout routine!

2.) I missed circuit for the very first time. Due to going to PACIFIC MALL with Bas' sister! We were stuck there cause of the weather and traffic. I was sooo pissed!

So with missing one day of working out, I plan to kill myself at the gym for the rest of the week. Rob, does our hotel in Atlantic City have a gym? Bas & I are going to work out there. At least I am.

Bas played ball right before going to the movies, so he didn't have time to eat dinner before leaving. And Bas not eating means, CRANKY. So I knew I had to buy something at the movies for him to eat, so we bought new york fries. (Shared the large fries) and ice tea.

Hopefully this is the last time we cheat before our trip. :S

This whole week has pretty much been a waste in terms of being thrown off the workout/eating schedule.

Everyone knows that Atlantic City was a total write off. But I think we all worked hard enough and as gross as I felt at times, I really enjoyed the cheating. We've pushed ourselves hard for the past 2 months and we all look amazing. I think this weekend was great for us and I'm not ashamed for eating ice cream and pizza and wings etc. Cause I know we've all worked hard and we deserve it!

In terms or working out this week, it was difficult to work out 6 six days in a row because of Sunday (in Atlantic City) and Mon (driving back home). Plus, I had a weird work schedule (Thurs and Fri off during the day and worked through Thurday night). This just threw everything off in terms of the amount of meals I could get in and how much I ended up sleeping during the days.

This week I did get 4 really good workouts in. All TurboJam too. Did 4 days of Cardio plus 2 days of weights. I'm glad to say though that I upped the weights from 5lbs to 7lbs. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Its such a challenge and I'm loving it. Didn't have time to work out on Sat. Spent the day at ROb's picnic and then off to my family party. But its a new week and i'm totally focused on getting back on track.

Sat night was the fam party. Therefore chinese food, pizza, and bday cake. Also had the NY Fries at the theater with Rob so I feel the need to call us out. But as I said, it's a new week.

Me and Rob had the appetizer Trio
(wings and spinach dip)
But unlike usual, we only had the appitizer. Usually we have this and then a meal. So haha, we did better then we normally do.
Had blizzards at DQ. Couldn't finish mine it was too damn sweet.

i though the exact same thing about blizzards...they didnt seem so sweet when i was young. lol i guess i am getting old now
